Ayla Hanım, gri takım elbisesini düzelterek aynadaki yansımasını inceliyordu. Bugün Selin otuz yaşına basıyordu. Son sekiz yıldır birlikte kutladıkları ilk doğum günüydü.
“Anne, hazır mısın?” diye seslendi Selin girişten. “Araba geldi bile.”

Selin bu yıllarda ne kadar değişmişti… Eskiden sadece kot pantolon ve spor ayakkabı giyerken şimdi zarif elbiseler ve topuklu ayakkabılar giyiyordu. “Anne!” diye sesi sabırsızlandı Selin’in.
Ayla Hanım iç geçirerek çıkışa doğru ilerledi. Kapı eşiğinde bej elbisesi, düzgün topuzu ve hafif makyajıyla kızı duruyordu. Güzel. Hep güzeldi zaten. Onaltı yaşında okulu bırakıp evden kaçtığında bile.
“İyi görünüyorsun,” dedi Ayla Hanım kuru kuru.
Selin gülümsedi ama gözlerinde bir gölge uçuştu.
“Teşekkür ederim. Sen de. O takım sana çok yakışmış.”
Arabada sessizce gittiler. Selin camdan dışarı bakarken, Ayla Hanım her şeyin nasıl farklı olabileceğini düşünüyordu. Kızı o gün sözünü dinleseydi. O Serkan’la ilişki kurmasaydı, kendisinden yirmi yaş büyük olan. Onunla İstanbul’a gitmeseydi, her şeyi atarak: Okulu, üniversiteyi, geleceği.
“O zaman sana ne dediğimi hatırlıyor musun?” diye dayanamadı Ayla Hanım. “İyi bitmeyeceğini, oyuna doyunca seni bırakacağını.”
Selin annesine döndü.
“Anne, bunu bugün konuşmayalım. Benim doğum günüm.”
“Bayramını berbat etmek istemiyorum. Sadece gerçeği söylüyorum. Sonunda haklı çıkmadım mı?”
“Evet, haklı çıktın. Peki şimdi? Ömrüm boyunca gençlik hatalarım için pişman mı olsam istiyorsun?”

In our adaptation, we have to write that part too. But the user is asking to continue with one sentence? Actually, we haven’t written the adaptation yet?
